Hello!
I'm feeling terribly depressed today so here is a cheering-up mani featuring no less than 5 holographic polishes in a butterfly wing design!
The stamping plate is Nailz Craze NC01, the stamping polish is W7 Black and the holos are, in rainbow order:
Layla - Red Taboo
Layla - Coral Glam
Layla - Emerald Divine
NailNation 3000 - Parma Violet
Glitter Gal - Frappe
Oops, and the little dots are Holographic Hero by Gosh!
Hugs,
Lisa xx

I call this mani... the broken TV!
Massive shiny explosion ahead!!!
Heehee, when I wore Glitter Gal's dark purple holo for the first time a short while back, I decided to try my nail foil shard idea over it. Aaaaand, this is the result:
Not over-the-top-crazy at all. No clue what you mean!
Hugs,
Lisa xx

"I'm back!" post ~ Glitter Gal's Dark Purple holo
Hello!
I shall recommence posting with the mani I am wearing right now ~ Glitter Gal's Dark Purple holographic polish!
Very pleasingly, Glitter Gal now have a UK stockist in the form of Sjmwell's online store. The prices are good and, being in the UK, my order arrived super-quickly. I was very naughty and snapped up the Dark Purple holo (although I did resist Red and Light as a Feather, so positively angelic!).
The pics below show 2 coats ~ it is daytime but I put the flash on my camera to show the rainbow holo goodness :-)
I LOVE this polish, even more than I thought I would. The colour itself is rich and beautiful, and as you can see the holo effect is strong and stunning. Truly a magical polish and a very happy Lisa!!!
Hugs,
Lisa xx

Out-the-door Mani
For this mani I was in a real rush to get out the door! Only time for one coat of polish, no base coat, no top coat (and no time to hold the camera steady it would seem!). So, I chose Glitter Gal's lovely holo Frappe and went out with the most subtle of shimmers on my nails!
Vroooooooom!

Christmas Day Haul & Mani!
Hello, I hope you all had a lovely Christmas!
I've been so lazy in posting, but I'm back and am going to line up a few posts with the neglected photos I have just uploaded!
We'll start with my Christmas presents - I was a lucky lucky girl this year! I received an Android phone (I think it's a Samsung Galaxy?), the features of which fill me with wonderment and confusion! I am currently addicted to mobile timewasting games. If I can manage it I might do a 'Mani on the Move' post sometime using this clever new phone.
I also received some fabulous polishy presents, both expected and unexpected. These are the things I found myself: Sally Hansen's Hidden Treasure for £1.99 on a market stall (!), a lovely purple and blue glitter from Claire's Accessories, and a set of fishnet stocking nail wraps from Ann Summers. These are my first nail wraps, and seemed a bargain at £6.25 for 24 - I'm hoping that by being very careful I will get two manis out of them, and that they will look decent! Here are the pics:

In addition to these I got a French manicure set from my brother and a Strictly Come Dancing themed box set of polishes from my parents - now I do not watch Strictly Come Dancing, but this makes zero difference to how much I love this present! The set has been made by Boots - I checked this because a couple of the colours look the same as ones from the Boots No7 line. Further investigation will be done ;-) So here are the surprise presents:
I can't wait to try all my new polishes out. But now, onto my Christmas Day mani!
This was a mani of Glitter Gal's Frappe (over a base of pink to make the colour richer) with some festive snowflake nail art stickers on a few accent nails. The colour was chosen to go with my warm sparkly jumper. It was a bit rushed as my nanna was coming over, but it was Christmassy enough!

Dried Flower on Holo
Hello!
After the tights-destroyed mani I showed you yesterday, I decided to go for the same concept but a different combo. This time, I used Glitter Gal's Frappe (2 coats over a lilac polish for a colour boost, it's a very delicate holo otherwise) and white dried flowers. I also changed my accent nails and put a flower on each middle fingernail. Here we are:

And the other hand...
Super-girly!
The thing about the white dried flowers is that they can lose their colour as you secure them onto the nail polish. They do still look lovely though, and work better on light colours so you don't notice the colour loss as much. I do't need to tell you how beautiful the holo is... honestly, I am in love! I'm constantly getting the urge to wear Frappe, that's why you might see it featured in this blog a lot ;-)

Wintry Glitter Gal Mani!
Hello!
These are two Glitter Gal holo polishes ~ Frappe with an accent nail of Blue, both 3 coats. On the accent nail I placed some snowflake nail art stickers and I feel ready to sparkle through Winter!

Glitter Gal ~ Frappe
Hello!
I received in the post the Glitter Gal polish I'd ordered from llarowe with her Halloween Scavenger Hunt coupon ~ Frappe! It's a beautiful delicate lavender colour that I have been lusting after ever since I first saw it.
Shown below is two coats of Frappe over one coat of a similar solid shade, 17's Woo Me. Glitter Gal polishes are a real luxury for me so I like to economise a little!

It is soooo beautiful and dreamy; I will love wearing this for a little sparkle all Winter.
Did anyone else enter the Glitter Gal polish naming contest? I am so hoping that one of my humble entries gets chosen!

NOTD ~ Glitter Gal Holographic Blue!
Hello!
Unfortunately, I spent my Halloween poorly in bed :-( On the plus side, Llarowe ~ beautiful polish vendor extraordinaire ~ held a Scavenger Hunt to win a massive polishy prize which had me entertained during the evening! I didn't win of course, but today just had to be a Glitter Gal mani in appreciation ^_^
This is Glitter Gal's blue holographic polish. I am loathe to waste a precious holo, so I economised by painting 2 coats over a light blue polish base - the holo effect is still amazing like this and the colour pops even more.
This is the one time my camera flash actually takes the most breathtaking photos! Prepare for rainbow shimmery goodness...

Wowza!! I can't stop looking at my nails.
After the Scavenger Hunt, all participants received a discount code for the Llarowe shop ~ I bought a Glitter Gal polish I've been lusting after and cannot wait to get it and show it off!

Glitter Gal Holographic Polish
I could not think of a prettier polish with which start my blog than the one I'm wearing right now - my first ever holo!
Try as I may, I have not been able to find a holographic polish in UK stores - so I had a look on eBay and found a seller listing Glitter Gal (an Australian brand) holos. I chose the 'Blue' shade, paying around £9 plus £1.50 p&p - above my normal price range but not bad at all for what it is.
Et voilĂ ...
In the shade:
With little angel wing nail stickers (found in my local market) on the ring finger, because my boyfriend calls me his angel ^_^:
Oh, the shimmery rainbowy goodness!
I am wearing 3 coats of polish here. There is some VNL (visible nail line) but honestly with all the shimmer you barely even notice, much less care. The polish is quite thin and goes on really smoothly and evenly.
The polish is really 'alive', and if you're a sparkle addict like me you'll be constantly wiggling your fingers to stare at the shimmer. I am so impressed and am already drooling over Glitter Gal's website in search of my next buy (when I can afford it!!). The current favourite is 'Not Another Red':
(swatch from the Glitter Gal website)
Who could resist?!
