Hello!
This is the second Space Dust polish I found in Xtras for £1.99 (see Luna Love here). Moon Walking is a shimmering textured polish which is a futuristic purple shade. Here are two coats:
I LOVE this! I'd thought that Luna Love would be my favourite of the two but I was wrong - Moon Walking is the winner. It looks so cool metallic and shiny on my nails... and the texture is very moon-like! Recommend.

Lisa xx

Rimmel London Space Dust ~ Luna Love
Hello!
I popped into Xtras yesterday to get a new bottle of W7 Black, and while I was there I saw that they had the Rimmel London Space Dusts for £1.99! I'd drooled over them previously but since they're £3.99 at full price I talked myself out of getting them. Now I am the owner of Luna Love and Moon Walking ^_^
The Space Dust polishes are shimmering textures. Luna Love is a rich fuschia colour with a sparkling blue iridescence to it. Here are two coats with no top coat:
I'm not as crazy about this as I thought I would be, but it is growing on me the longer I have it on. I'd probably choose to wear it in the Autumn for some bright colour made a bit different by the texture.
Hugs,
Lisa xx

Matte Black with Glossy Tips
Hello!
Today I'm doing a copycat of a matte black manicure with glossy French tips that I've seen shared all over Pinterest and other social media. Very sadly I can't find the original source of the mani ~ does anyone have any idea?
My best friend Kellie asked me to do this manicure because it's her favourite, and I did it because she is awesome. I painted on W7 Black, matted it out with Rimmel's Matte Finish top coat then used French tip guides to add the glossy Sèche Vite. I have to warn you that neither the manicure nor the photo are my best... I'm ill with a liver infection at the moment. I managed to take one photo outside where the light is decent before my mam started scolding about me catching a cold! So it's a bit blurry:
Priorites, man. Priorities.
Hopefully I'll be back soon with a new post and feeling better! I bought three of the new Barry M Gellies the other day so I cannot wait to try those out.
Hugs,
Lisa xx

Halloween Manicure
Hello!
After a few days rocking my pumpkin nails, this is the manicure I will be wearing for Halloween itself. Over a vivid green I stamped Bundle Monster's gradient image in black. I finished it with Rimmel's matte top coat :-)
Happy Halloween!

Fairisle Sweater Nails
Hello!
Today I have for you some jumper-themed nails, another manicure using a dark colour! This is so unusual for me as I adore my light and delicate colours; I think it's the sudden onset of Autumn that's had me craving a different and seasonal look.
For my base colour I used Revlon's Emerald City. I found this in Poundland so have no idea how old this polish is, but it's a deep green boasting a matte suede finish. The formula was great and, after two coats, I was indeed left with a matte finish with a rich green sparkle/shimmer to it. Over this I stamped my Fairisle pattern which comes courtesy of Nailz Craze stamping plate NC03.
After allowing plenty of dry time I then applied Rimmel's matte top coat. This spoilt the mani slightly as I lost that depth and sparkle from Emerald City. I wanted to protect the stamping but perhaps next time I'll see if it lasts without a top coat. Here it is:
So cosy!
I have heard that Starbucks are releasing their Pumpkin Spice Latte this week; I am dying to try it! I've also been buying some clothing bits and bobs for the new season including a lovely purple lace dress, a cardigan, a hat and some mini-boots ^_^

31 Day Challenge ~ Inspired By your Childhood!
Hello!
I decided to combine today's childhood challenge with a current nail trend and do a blackboard manicure!
Ciaté have come out with a set to accomplish the look, which is a cool idea but expensive! It's an easy idea to attempt and I used polishes that were already in my collection to do my mani: a base black by W7, Barry M's white nail art pen to do my doodles and Rimmel's matte top coat to give it the blackboard look. Here it is!
I'm still loving my Barry M nail art pens, it makes it so easy to freehand designs. And the blackboard mani is a fab idea!
Hugs,
Lisa xx

Pinspiration ~ Rose & Sparkle
Hello!
I am still feeling poorly but am slowly getting better, so before tomorrow's challenge attempt I have a mani to show you! On my Pinterest I have a board called Nail Inspiration where I repin amazing-yet-attemptable manicures, and today I was inspired by this pin that I added a while back: a gorgeous, blushing rose colour with sparkly accent nails. I've traced the original manicure to pshiiit, an amazing French blogger whose nails I've admired many times before!
For my own nails I picked out Rimmel London's Rose Libertine and Nails Inc's Noel Street, and here is the result:
I am so happy with this and am thankful to pshiiit for the pinspiration (merci beaucoup, j'ai tant d'admiration pour tes belles manucures!). I love the warm rose on my nails and the Nails Inc glitter looks like Easter egg foil, perfect for this weekend even if I don't celebrate it anymore!
Wish me luck for tomorrow's 31 Day challenge... the brief is to try a technique you've never used before and I may be attempting a water marble for the first ever time, eek!!!
Hugs,
Lisa xx

BM301 ~ Leafing Design
Hello!
This post shows my first forays into stamping with the new Bundle Monster set I received for my birthday :-) I'm starting with the first plate, BM301, but will be choosing the plates randomly as designs jump out at me!
I wasn't sure what to call this pattern, but it looks to me like the flaky opulence of precious metal leaf. My base colour is Rimmel's Lively Lilac (not really "lively" but a pretty colour all the same!), and for the stamping I used MeMeMe's Loyal, another birthday present. It's a silver foil and happily it stamps really well! Here is the mani:
And here is the stamping plate itself (after use!):
I really, really love this design. I think it would look better with a more contrasted colour pairing though, and I want to try it with my gold and bronze MeMeMes! What do you think?
Hugs,
Lisa xx

I really, really never meant for this to happen...
...
...I fainted, OK?! I had to have tests done at the hospital, I fainted during them, and afterwards, instead of following Mr Doctor's advice and getting a taxi straight home to rest up, I thought "Ooh, I need some fruit, and I'll have a look around the shops while I'm at it!".
So in my giddy state I took advantage of Boot's '2 Revlons for £10' and '£1 off 2 Barry M polishes' offers, my cheapy market stall, and Poundland (They had some really good Revlons in there for a quid! Key word: 'had'. I have them now.).
Forgive me ô God of Overdrafts, I was poorly.

I never meant for this to happen...
...but I went to the dentist and to a lecture today and came home with all these:
:-O
Firstly, the 17 Spring collection is out!!! Not as lovely as last year's vintage colours, but a lot nicer than some of the Spring brights I've seen in press releases. The first Boots store I went to only had Glisten and Spring Petal, so I bought them and a fresh bottle of Sweet Kisses as there's a 3 for 2 offer on. My bigger local Boots store had all the new colours, but I chickened out on the green one and got Mellow Yellow along with Royal Rose (is this new?) and Mint Choc Chip.
Aaand, Revlon have new scented polishes out! These ones carry the name 'Fizz' and the polish reflects that ~ it looks nice and shifty and shimmery in the bottle. I got Grape Fizz and Grapefruit Fizz, and may go back for the Orange Fizz if I could pluck up the courage to wear it! They are 2 for £10 at Boots, which is still expensive for me so I don't know what came over me!
The last four buys are from my trusty market stall ;-) I was delighted to see a bottle of Revlon's Blue Lagoon peeking out, and also one of the older scented polishes in Papaya. I also got a bold blue and lovely lilac by Rimmel.
So yes... bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad LisLis. Someone take my debit card away from me please!
Hugs,
Lisa xx

Rimmel ~ Colourlicious
Here is the oddly-named polish with the orange cap ^_^
Although I like for my nails to stand out, I do love delicate, feminine polish shades. I was very happy to find this very pale pink/lilac tinged polish. Here are 4 coats:

Mini Bargain Haul ^_^
AKA, LisLis-got-her-student-loan-which-took-her-out-of-her-overdraft-for-5-beautiful-hours-before-stuff-had-to-be-paid-off-but-still-wanted-to-treat-herself.
On the left, Noir de Chine by Bourjois - £1.99 - I already have black polish but am always on the lookout for a better one! I am so jealous of the perfect blacks by expensive or American brands, and am on the hunt for a bargain basement find that does the job.
Next, Colourlicious by Rimmel - £1.99 - I don't get the ill-suited name and off-putting orange cap, but I love delicate feminine colours so was happy to find this!
Next, Fiery by Maybelline - £1.99 - Normally I avoid reds as they're not really my style, but this one looked cheery, fruity and glittery so I snapped it up :-)
And on the right, Violetta by No7 - £2 - Yes, the Boots vouchers are back!!! £5 off No7 products when you spend £5 instore, which means you can get a polish for £2. I already have two more vouchers stashed in my purse lol. My first purchase is a backup of Violetta, a polish which I adore and use a lot.
I will be showing them off in the days to come!
Hugs,
Lisa xx

NOTD: Sophisicated Floral
Well, as sophisticated as one can get with nail art stickers ;-)
The colour is MUA's Shade 1, a sparkling deep blue. I place some of my much-loved floral stickers from Nail Delights on accent nails and finished with Rimmel's matte top coat.

Holo Glitter over Black
Woooo!
Happy Halloween! I showed you my spooky manis yesterday, but ultimately went for a cop-out of holo glitter on black. It's still so pretty though! The holo is 2 coats of INM Northern Lights silver holo glitter top coat.

Ladybird Nail Stencil
Hello!
Here I tried out the ladybird nail stencil I got from Nail Delights - ladybirds remind me of my late grandad, so it was a must-buy.
The general depression of having baby-short nails made me want a baby mani, so I painted 3 coats of glitter - alternating between Barry M's Iridescent Pink and La Femme Beauty's Sapphire, both shown here - and topped it with Rimmel's Matte top coat for a frosting feel. On my ring finger I used the stencil to paint the ladybird using 17's Ruby Gem and Rimmel's Black Cab.
Before I show you, I must apologise for the shocking quality of my nails and cuticles- having very short nails always seems to destroy my fingertips. Curse my broken nail!!

Pink Tease Nail Art Pens
Hello, yet another market stall find :-)
I kept meaning to get black and white nail art pens as basics for my collection, but never got round to it. I think these cost £1.50 each and are another find from my local market stall (actually a barrow, in the
Northumberland Street entrance to Eldon Square if you're an interested local!).

And here are my doodles on a base of No7's Snowflake and Rimmel's Black Cab:
OK, ignore the pinky finger. It was meant to be lace but I messed up >.<
The 'R' stands for Richie, my fiancé, and the spider web is a design I will definitely be repeating for Halloween. You might be able to see that the polish is a teeny bit watery but it's good enough for my clumsy doodling ^_^

A Tale of Two Glitters!
Hello!
This is a post to show off two lovely glitters I found on my wanders ^_^
The first is La Femme Beauty's 'Sapphire', dreamy glitter with a lilac base, which I found on a market stall. The second is Barry M's 'Iridescent Pink' which I spotted in Superdrug and absolutely could not resist buying.

Here are the sparkly pics!
The above pics are one coat of each polish on a base of Rimmel's Black Cab.
Strangely enough, Iridescent Pink glitters more blue than Sapphire! Sapphire leans towards a more greenish hue. I have to say that Iridescent Pink is my favourite, but both are deliciously sparkly ^_^
