This post contains products which were sent to me for review :-)
Hello!
I've been having lots of fun trying out my review pack of water decals from Born Pretty Store, and today I have two designs to show you: one pattern of roses with accented red colouring, and one pattern of swirling blue butterflies.
It was my birthday on Friday and I got a new phone! I'm still learning to use it but it seems to take slightly better photos than my old (very old) phone, which is exciting. Plus it can handle more apps so I'm playing away on Happy Street and Bakery Story like the big child I am ^_^
As I've been saying on all my reviews of these decals, they are amazing to apply. They go on and stay on perfectly. They're great, fine quality and the patterns are just lovely. Here are the two manis:

Here are the rose decals over a pearly white base:
And here are the butterfly decals over a French manicure:
I think I especially love those blue butterflies, especially over a sheer base! I love trying out these decals and am already wearing a new design, another vintage rose pattern ^_^

Born Pretty Water Decals ~ Monochromes
This post contains products which were sent to me for review :-)
Hello!
I've been continuing to play around with the big selection of water decals sent to me by Born Pretty Store, and this blog post features two monochrome patterns to which I added my own splashes of colour!
I'll repeat the important stuff in all my reviews of these decals. Most important of all, they're amazing! The quality is fantastic - they go onto your nails like a second skin, whilst still allowing you to move them around and get them perfect before rubbing them down. The patterns are beautiful and they come in blocks big enough for 10 full nails or to be cut and used in any way you like. Born Pretty have started selling the sheets both individually and in bargain packs of 10 which I'll give you the links for ^_^
http://www.bornprettystore.com/sheetsset-feather-flower-nail-water-decals-transfer-sticker-born-pretty-p-20699.html (pack of 10)
Sheet BP-W11 has a bold, swirling black pattern so to show it off I started by painting my nails white then adding strokes of colour. For this I took a few nice bright polishes, added a little acetone to them on a pallette and applied messy dashes onto my nails with a nail art brush. The patterns on the decals have a transparent background so when I applied them the colours showed through really radiantly!

Sheet BP-W20 has monochrome floral patterns and for this one I decided to add one accent colour. I applied the decals over a white polish then used a pink jelly polish I own, Henley Regatta by Nails Inc, to colour in just one flower on each nail.

I can't say enough how much I love these decals! It's also nice that, as my nails grow longer, I can choose different decals to suit the length.

Born Pretty Water Decals ~ Summer Florals & Rose
This post contains products which were sent to me for review :-)
Hello!
Today I have two water decal patterns to show you from Born Pretty Store's new range! One is a pink English rose pattern and the other is a colourful Summer floral.
I already wrote in my first review how much I love the quality of these decals, but I'll say it again! Water decals can differ in how well they apply, and I think these ones are the best I've ever tried. They're thin but not fragile and they go onto your nails like a second skin. I normally change my manicure a lot but I kept the roses on for several days and am still wearing the Summer flowers now, and they've lasted perfectly. Not one flaw.
For the rose decals I applied them over white and bordered them with Zoya Vespa, a sparkling green. The patterns come on a transparent background so with the Summer florals I applied them over a skittle mani of different pastel colours ^_^

The rose manicure:
And the floral manicure:
I hope you like them as much as I do!

Born Pretty Water Decals ~ Dandelions
This post contains products which were sent to me for review :-)
Hello!
Today I had a lovely surprise as a new review parcel from Born Pretty Store came through the postbox, packed full of water decals and a couple of stamping plates to try! I can see that I'm going to have beautiful patterns on my nails for ages!
For my first manicure I decided to delve into the water decals, and I picked the pack named W13 which has a dandelion theme. In this pack you get a mix of 23 individual dandelions and two bars of pattern which is enough for 10 nails or whatever creative way you wish to use it ;-) I did a mix of pattern and dandelions over a grey and white gradient base.
http://www.bornprettystore.com/sheetsset-feather-flower-nail-water-decals-transfer-sticker-born-pretty-p-20699.html
And these are part of a deal of 10 assorted water decal packs for $5.99 from Born Pretty Store.
I will shout from the rooftops that I LOVE these decals! The designs themselves are detailed and beautiful, but just as importantly the decals are a great quality - delicate enough to go on like a second skin, not so delicate that they fall apart. No colour running, no problems at all. You put them in water and they're ready to go in 20 seconds. I might actually go as far to say that these are the best water decals I've ever used.
So I am a very happy reviewer, and even happier that I have lots more to review and show you!

Feather Manicure
Hello!
During my last outing to Newcastle I popped into TK Maxx, and found a Ciaté Feather Manicure kit for £2.99! Since the RRP is £20.00 that is a bargain I could not say no to. The kit includes an envelope packed with different coloured feathers, nail scissors, a full-sized top coat, a mini nail polish, nail file blocks and instructions. Again, for £2.99!!!
My first attempt was not successful at all - I ended up with a mess of feathers whose colours didn't show properly over my choice of neon pink nail polish. But today I used them as two accent nails paired with another new polish purchase, the sheer Ballet Slippers by Essie, and got a better result!
I am a lot happier this time!
Once applied, the feathers lie nice and smooth on your nails - a few layers of top coat helps! And I'm sure the feathers would look even nicer if you had longer nails to show off more of the feather. As for the Essie polish, I love a French polish and this one is lovely and sweet.
I'm going to have to keep going into town if TK Maxx are stocking bargains like this!
Hugs,
Lisa xx

Barry M ~ Cotton
Hello!
On Tuesday I managed to get out of the house and into town to shop for a few essentials! I think I made a mistake trying to go round all the shops and I got a bit dizzy, but then on the plus side I found a couple of nice sneaky polish buys ;-)
The one I'm showing you today is Barry M Cotton. It's a pure white from their Gelly range. It goes on opaque in 2 coats and is easy and pleasant to apply. I painted it on, then topped it with my own little bird pattern using the range of birds on my MoYou Kitty 11 stamping plate.
And here is Cotton on its own:
You have to love a good white!
Hugs,
Lisa xx

Pink Butterfly Wing Manicure
Hello!
In the past few days I've noticed a couple of butterfly wing manicures whilst browsing Instagram, and they inspired me to get my Nailz Craze stamping plate out!
For my colour I chose pastel pink, Rosehip by Barry M. You can go so colourful with glitters and gradients underneath your butterfly wings but I wanted something sweet this time! That said, I am thinking about trying a more colourful design next time and seeing if it works.
I stamped on my wings, used my black Barry M nail art pen to cover up a couple of gaps in the stamping (Geordie Nails is not perfect!) and I used a white glitter mix polish, Snowfall by Sonnetarium, to finish off the wing tips.
Hugs,
Lisa xx

Glitter Cascade Manicure
Hello!
I haven't quite run out of nail-painting energy yet so today I am back with another short nail mani! This time I've painted a milky sheer base and sponged a cascading glitter gradient down from my cuticles. The polishes I used were Don't Touch My Tutu! by OPI, Rose Quartz by Barry M and a holo sprinkle glitter by Bourjois.
I love how dainty this looks on my nails. And it's pretty far removed from my last design of a bold cartoon border framing a hot neon!
Right now I'm trying to decide between a couple of ideas for my next manicure, so hopefully I will post again soon.
Hugs,
Lisa xx

Cartoon Pop Manicure
Hello!
The latest manicure on my short nail inspiration kick is this cartoon look! I've done it before on longer nails and it's pretty simple to do - I painted my nails with the super-neon Pink Punch by Models Own, then used my Barry M nail art pens to draw a border and add a reflection gleam on my ring finger.
I've still got a couple of mani ideas lined up to try but I feel like I'm losing energy a little bit! But that's the nature of having chronic depression, and it has been very therapeutic to try all these ideas.
Hugs,
Lisa xx

Cheeky Owl Manicure!
Hello!
I'm continuing to come up with new designs to make the most of my short nails, and today I've gone cheeky! A winking baby owl paired with little polka dots ^_^
For my base colour I chose a teal, Misstique by Missguided, to match the wings of my owl! He's one of many cute owl water decals I have from YRNails. I stamped polka dots over the teal and left my ring fingers white for my decals. Here we have it...
I love my owls so much!
Hugs,
Lisa xx
