Hello!
Right now I'm having a little phase where I'm finding a ton of inspiration on Pinterest but I don't quite have the energy to to get it onto my nails! This is one of the manicures that did make it ^_^
The Autumn tree manicure comes from a "27 Trendy Nail Art Ideas for Fall" post. Unfortunately they don't seem to link back to the original owner of the manicure, which is a shame because they deserve a lot of kudos for this design. It consists of a light background with Autumn-coloured sponging for the leaves and finely drawn black branches on top.
For my own attempt I painted OPI's My Vampire Is Buff as the background. For the sponging I chose one of my bronzes then topped it with a sponging of the textured OPI Jinx. To draw the branches I used my Barry M nail art pen as I am not talented with freehanding and fine nail art brushes! I only did the tree on one nail as I know I would have spoilt the design if I decorated all 10. Here it is:
Mmm... I'd consider this to be somewhere between a win and a fail. The branches are nothing like as delicate as the original, which is to be expected given that the mani's owner is obviously talented with a nail art brush. I do love the idea and the Autumn colours though! Perhaps I'll try it again and get some practise with my branches :-)
Hugs,
Lisa xx

Pinspiration ~ Paisley Print
Hello!
Today's manicure is inspired by One Nail To Rule Them All. I repinned her paisley print tutorial because it was a stunning manicure - a bright, unexpected skittles combo - topped with a cool paisley print made using a gel pen!!! I was actually really lazy and used the Bundle Monster paisley stamping plate design I had to hand, and I tried to match the skittles colours as closely as possible. Here it is:
My colours:
Thumb ~ Blueberry by Barry M
Index ~ Mint Choc Chip by Seventeen
Middle ~ Sweet Kisses by Seventeen
Ring ~ The Sky's The Limit by Sally Hansen
Pinky ~ Spring Blossom by Ulta3
How cool for Summer, now it's finally arrived?! Thanks so much to One Nail To Rule Them All for the pinspiration ^_^
Hugs,
Lisa xx

Pinspiration ~ Rose & Sparkle
Hello!
I am still feeling poorly but am slowly getting better, so before tomorrow's challenge attempt I have a mani to show you! On my Pinterest I have a board called Nail Inspiration where I repin amazing-yet-attemptable manicures, and today I was inspired by this pin that I added a while back: a gorgeous, blushing rose colour with sparkly accent nails. I've traced the original manicure to pshiiit, an amazing French blogger whose nails I've admired many times before!
For my own nails I picked out Rimmel London's Rose Libertine and Nails Inc's Noel Street, and here is the result:
I am so happy with this and am thankful to pshiiit for the pinspiration (merci beaucoup, j'ai tant d'admiration pour tes belles manucures!). I love the warm rose on my nails and the Nails Inc glitter looks like Easter egg foil, perfect for this weekend even if I don't celebrate it anymore!
Wish me luck for tomorrow's 31 Day challenge... the brief is to try a technique you've never used before and I may be attempting a water marble for the first ever time, eek!!!
Hugs,
Lisa xx
