KKcenterhk Stampwich!

This post contains products which were sent to me for review :-)

Hello!

I'm back with another manicure using the stamping plates sent to me by KKcenterhk. In the nail polish groups I'm a member of on Facebook I've been seeing some absolutely beautiful manicures called "stampwiches", which entail stamping between coats of sheer polish to create a 3D layered effect. For my first stampwich I decided to use the sweetie image on plate F09 with Nails Inc.'s Strawberry Juicy Sheer. I used 3 coats with one or two sweets, big and small, stamped between each. Here it is!

Plate No.: NNAIL-SPPMF09

How sweet! You can really see the different layers and it draws attention to the nail. This is a technique I'd like to try again - I've seen a fish design with sheer blue polish, the inspiration is endless!

Winnie The Pooh Manicure

This post contains products which were sent to me for review :-)

Hello!

Today I have for you a manicure using a stamping plate from KKcenterhk, an online shop who very kindly let me pick out two plates to review! The QA02 plate includes itty bitty polka dots and some Winnie the Pooh images, and a manicure idea sprung straight out at me. Here it is:

Plate no.: NNAIL-SPPQA02

I am over the moon with this! The Winnie the Pooh face alone is adorable. The main reason I picked out this plate was for the polka dots and as you can see from the pic it's a good size image, big enough to cover my medium-long nails in one go. Both images I tried stamp well.

I'm going to be posting again with manicures from these stamping plates; I'm quite new to product reviews and this was a lovely experience ^_^

Cream & Rose Manicure

Hello!

On Pinterest I've been seeing absolutely beautiful manicures with hand-painted roses on a vintage cream base. Unfortunately I am not talented when it comes to freehand nail art, nor have I purchased my dream rose stamping plate pattern yet :-( But I used what I've got to have a go!

The base colour is OPI's My Vampire Is Buff. I used the funky rose pattern from my Cheeky Home Sweet Home plate, then dotted on some green leaves with an orange stick.

Doing this has actually made me want to get a bit brave and try the freehand roses. I'm sure it won't turn out as planned, but if it does I'll be posting the results!

Clingfilm Manicure

Hello!

Today I have for you a quick manicure using clingfilm. In my opinion this is one of the simplest nail art techniques to achieve a really unique look :-)

This is how it's done:

1. Cut clingfilm (also called saran wrap) into 10 little pieces and scrunch them up.
2. Paint your nails a base colour and let it dry.
3. Paint a coat of a different colour over this and, while it's still wet, dab at it with the scrunchy clingfilm. It's best to do one nail at a time.
4. Topcoat it for a beautiful finish!

My colour combination for this mani was Barry M's Blackberry over Sally Hansen's Ion for a stormy sea look, but the possibilities are endless!

Pinspiration ~ Paisley Print

Hello!

Today's manicure is inspired by One Nail To Rule Them All. I repinned her paisley print tutorial because it was a stunning manicure - a bright, unexpected skittles combo - topped with a cool paisley print made using a gel pen!!! I was actually really lazy and used the Bundle Monster paisley stamping plate design I had to hand, and I tried to match the skittles colours as closely as possible. Here it is:

My colours:

Thumb ~ Blueberry by Barry M
Index ~ Mint Choc Chip by Seventeen
Middle ~ Sweet Kisses by Seventeen
Ring ~ The Sky's The Limit by Sally Hansen
Pinky ~ Spring Blossom by Ulta3

How cool for Summer, now it's finally arrived?! Thanks so much to One Nail To Rule Them All for the pinspiration ^_^

Hugs,

Lisa xx
